A new flag at “les Amis de La Martinerie”

Discovered during the renovation of the city hall, this venerable flag from a local veteran’s association was handed over to us on Wednesday April 28th, 2021 by Mr Marc Descouraux, Mayor of Etrechet.

This flag will adjoin these of Diors and Montierchaume, the two cities geographically attached to the “La Martinerie” base. It is worth noting that we are now only missing the one from Déols to complete the polyptych.

Joined by Jean Pinier, the first deputy mayor, Mr Descouraux took this opportunity to visit the different rooms of our association’s premises.

To thank “Les Amis de La Martinerie” for all they efforts promoting the military history of both their city and the department, Mr Mayor and Mr First Deputy Mayor gave to our association a copy of the book entitled "Etrechet, de l'origine à nos jours".(“Etrechet, from the beginning to the present”).

This book was incorporated into our association’s library
