On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, the team at “Les Amis de La Martinerie’, Clémence, Dominique, and Jean-Jacques, had the pleasure of welcoming members of the 95th Infantry Regiment Veterans' Association (the heritage regiment of the Cher department), accompanied by members of the 85th Infantry Regiment Veterans' Association.
Following a tour of the 90th Infantry Regiment Memorial Room, presented by François Guillaume, the group took the opportunity to reminisce about marksmanship competitions between reserve units, as well as the numerous regional and national Reserve Rallies regularly organized by the officers and instructors of the ESMAT in Châteauroux.
It was a most enjoyable morning of reunion among fellow reservists, though our visitors expressed two regrets: firstly, the suspension of conscription, and secondly, the absence of an equivalent military museum within the Cher department itself.
The morning concluded with the presentation of a donation to “Les Amis de La Martinerie” by Jean-Paul Volclair, President of the Veterans' Association.
