Originally scheduled for June, this visit had been postponed due to the heatwave.
Ultimately, on Friday, October 9, volunteers at La Martinerie welcomed around twenty members of the "Mémoire et patrimoine Lignerois" association to explore the exhibition halls of the Indre Military Memory Museum.

A special feature of this visit was the presence of Mrs. Mauricette Petit, widow of Michel Petit. In 2025, she donated the entire collection that her husband had painstakingly assembled following the massacre of the village of Maillé (near Tours) by the Waffen-SS on August 25, 1944, an event from which he had miraculously escaped.

It was an emotionally moving visit, as many display cases in our museum highlight the donation made by Michel and Mauricette Petit.

A big thank you to the members of this association for their financial support.
