Wednesday October 11, 2023, “les Amis de La Martinerie” had the pleasure of welcoming around twenty former students of the non-commissioned officer army materiel school (ESOA) for a trip down memory lane.

The 1968-1969 class of ESOAs (October 1, 1968 – June 30, 1969) from the 22nd company of the CISM of Châteauroux (Materiel Service Training Center) generally meet, every 5 years, for 3 days, to maintain the ties that unite them.

The 2023 reunion took place in the Indre department, around the Bellebouche pond with, among other things, a visit to the Azay le Ferron castle, walks in the Brenne region... and a return to La Martinerie, the place were they initially trained.

Supported by Michel Heu and Serge Elice, former Non-Commissioned Officer students of this the 68-69 class and other participant, were able to discover the 10 exhibition rooms of “la maison départementale de la mémoire militaire” located on the La Martinerie site. They also took advantage of the association’s facilities to present some videos and photos from their archives.
