At the initiative of Mrs. Christelle Prince, president of the "Le point du jour" association from the Indre department, and based on the recommendation of one of our members (Mrs. Julia Natali), fifty people gathered for their annual outing.

Coming by train or car from the Cher, the Haute Vienne, the Indre et Loire, the Sarthe and of course the Indre departments, the participants met in a rental home in the Montipouret region for a potluck dinner.

According to Mrs Marie-Solonge Robert, vice-president and organizer of the weekend, this was the perfect event "to chat and share experiences about sewing and embroidery".

On Sunday morning, “Les Amis de La Martinerie” had the pleasure of welcoming all the participants for their weekend's cultural activity.

Welcomed by Jean-Jacques with the welcome remarks, the presentation of the association and an introduction about the base of La Martinerie, the participants were divided into four groups between Dominique, Frédéric and Jean-Pierre, Martial and Roland for a visit of “La maison départementale de la mémoire militaire”.

During this visit, our volunteers made several contacts that will certainly lead to future visits.

A day which, of course, ended, for our visitors, at a nearby restaurant.
