Chief Warrant Officer Jean-Louis Martinez, a former army officer, is currently on a walking tour of France. By doing so, he collects funds to help ease the physical and psychological suffering of those injured for our country (soldiers, gendarmes, police, firefighters, etc.).

The name of his venture “Des kilomètres pour apaiser leurs maux” / “Miles to relieve their ailments.”.

His journey brought him to Châteauroux on Monday July 8, coming from Saint-Genou. He was accompanied all day by Bruno Duteil, vice-president of our association, by Bruno's son Benjamin and, for a small part of the route, by Gérard Desroches.

He was welcomed in Châteauroux, at the end of the afternoon, at the “Queen's Berry”, by Lt Colonel Frédéric Drapeau DMD 36, by Sébastien Piteau, owner of the “Queen's Berry” and former soldier, by members of the ABAOMTDM 36 office and members of “Les Amis de la Martinerie”.

On Tuesday, July 9, he set off again from La Martinerie, after a visit to “la Maison départementale de la mémoire militaire”, accompanied by Bruno. He ended his journey in the “Centre Val de Loire” region at the Bourges Military Schools.

Several donations from members of the UNCs of Châteauroux-Déols, Etrechet, St Chartier-Nohant-Vic, the ABAOMTDM and “Les Amis de la Martinerie” were given to him.

A “Leetchi” was created and is at your disposal: https://www.leetchi.com/fr/c/des-kms-pour-apaiser-leurs-maux-1555136

To learn more about his actions and his itinerary, you can follow Jean-Louis Martinez on his Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/jeanlouis.martinez.737

“Les Amis de la Martinerie” congratulates Jean-Louis Martinez for his initiative and wish him good luck for the rest of his venture.
