On Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, three associations,"Pompiers de l’Urgence Internationale" (PUI) based in Limoges, "Pompiers Mission Humanitaire" (PMH) based in Normandy, and "Aide Action Internationales Pompiers" (AAIP) based in the Rhône-Alpes region, gathered at the CNTS. Their goal was to have their future field hospital, "Med-Rescue France", intended for international deployment, validated by the WHO (World Health Organization).
At the initiative of Christian Robuchon, a member of "Les Amis de La Martinerie" and the facilitator coordinating the operation between the three associations, Châteauroux-Métropole, and the CNTS, we had the pleasure of welcoming volunteers not involved in the day's inspections for a tour of our facilities. The visit took place in a wonderful atmosphere, offering great discoveries and stirring up many memories in the health exhibit area for volunteers who had formerly served in the Armed Forces Medical Service. Many promises to donate items were made.
The field hospital was successfully validated for deployment anywhere in the world, upon the request of local authorities and with WHO approval.
As a reminder (thanks to Damien): the last 2 photos. In November 2001, the Armed Forces Medical Service was present at La Martinerie for the validation of its 815th Military Field Hospital.
