In June, the "Rêves de Gosse" association will be at the Châteauroux-Déols airport allowing 100 “extraordinary” kids (sick or handicapped) and 50 “ordinary” kids to fly for the first time at the Marcel Dassault airport.
The city of Châteauroux will be one of the nine cities hosting the event as part of the 2022 "rêves de gosse" tour.
The preparation and the organization of this event were performed by the Indre “Jeune Chambre Economique” (JCE).
Through these two half days of cohesion at La Martinerie, on March 24th, 2022, people in charge of the JCE are trying to share, transfer knowledge from our elders to the new generations and liven the history of our department while creating emotional bonds with the kids.
During these two half days, the kids, divided in to five groups, were able to learn about the life of the department inhabitants during the time of the Americans, to visit “Les Amis de La Martinerie” various showrooms, to watch period films produced by the CICLIC, listen to people from the AECBA who actually worked with Americans back then, see American civilian vehicles via the “Good Old Day” association and American military vehicles through the ARVMC.
All the volunteers from “Les Amis de La Martinerie” and the JCE partners (ARVMC, AECBA and Good Old Day) had a good time and enjoyed seeing all these starry-eyed children.
