True to his word, Mr Dubois, CEO of Dubois Transport, brought from Saumur on Friday November 13th, the EBR that the defense department gave us.
Symbol of the French army, this armored vehicle produced by Panhard was in service between 1951 and 1985 and was used for various reconnaissance and security missions. Interestingly, this armored vehicle is capable of going at full speed either forward or backward due to the presence of driver’s compartment on each side of the truck.
This vehicle had a profound impact on several generations of enlisted and drafted men.
We now need to display it in the right place (With the support of the ARVMC) and eventually restore it (We are actively looking for volunteers)
Thanks to Dominique and Frédéric, our volunteers, thanks to the leaders of the CNTS and to Gérard-Yves, the man in charge of the CNTS’s special missions, thanks also to Lionel, the driver responsible of the hauling, for his efficiency.
