La Martinerie

It was at the end of the command seminar, during the cohesion day, upon returning from the visit to Château Raoul and the prefect's residence, that Colonel Roussel, commander of the 12th BSMAT (Material Support Base), visited “la Maison départementale de la mémoire militaire” on the La Martinerie site.

He was accompanied by his detachment leaders, his unit commanders, his department heads and category presidents, stationed either in the central portion of Neuvy-Pailloux or in the detachments of Douai and Gien.

An unexpected revelation for some of the visitors surprised by the number of display rooms and the richness of the collections, as evidenced by the commanding officer who, in the association's guestbook, praises the quality of the visit offered, the merit of the volunteers’ meticulous educational work, the conservation of the military memory and the preservation of the authenticity of the premises.
