Visit of Mr François Schmitt from the Indre department’s DSDEN

At the invitation of the “Les Amis de La Martinerie”’s President, Mr François SCHMITT, responsible of the youth, sports, community life and city politics services, and the “Service National Universel**” departmental program visited our premises on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021.

After a presentation of the association’s goals, members and projects, the president gave him a tour of our “maison départementale de la mémoire militaire”.

Mr Schmitt found this visit very instructive and was impressed by all the work accomplished by our volunteers. He was also very interested in our association’s various projects, especially the welcoming of 9th grade students within our group, as part of the “Parcours citoyen”.

The hosting, by “les Amis de La Martinerie“, of young adults as part of the “Service National Universel**” was also discussed.

(*) DSDEN : Direction des Services Départementaux de l’Education Nationale (The local Department of Education administration)
(**) Service National Universel : A one-month compulsory service mandatory for all young citizens aiming to convey French values, to strengthen social cohesion and to promote social engagement
